About us

Our History:

HV Shred was launched when Jeff Papo began looking around at the possibility of outsourcing his shredding responsibility. As co-owner of Tuminaro Pharmacy in Hopewell Junction, NY, he was becoming overwhelmed with the volume of shredding his business was generating. The options available were expensive and limited to out-of-town businesses. His concern for the safety of his patients’ information, his own liability, and the desire to use a local business mounted to the point where he felt the need to find a better solution. Together with his accountant wife, Judith, and his craftsman father, Fran, Jeff formulated the solution: HV Shred.

The company embarked on a new chapter with the turn of the calendar in 2016. In order to transcend our original hometown boundaries of the Hudson Valley, we secured the “DBA” designation Legal Shred as of January 1st, 2016. Judith is still owner and president of the company and dedicated more than ever to delivering heartfelt, relationship-focused service–now also into Connecticut and the NY Metro Area. We love what we do and we are excited for the opportunity to expand our service area.

We consider our clients part of our extended family and look forward to continuing to grow and improve.

We always want to know: What can we do better? What other service can we offer to serve the data security needs of the community?
