Our president, Judith Papo, was recognized as a Forty Under 40 winner at a March 8th ceremony held at the Civic Center in downtown Poughkeepsie. With over 1,000 members of the business community in attendance including Tom Weddell, managing partner of Vanacore CPA’s in Newburgh and Rick Mitchell managing partner at Iseman,Cunningham, Reister, & Hyde.
The Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual event, which is also known as the “Shaker Awards.” It honors 40 individuals in the county who are younger than 40 and who have excelled in their business endeavors and shown a willingness to give back to the community. Honorees received an engraved silver martini shaker in recognition of their achievement.
The recipients were picked out of a pool of more than 100 nominees by a 23-member selection committee made up of past winners.
It was a special honor to receive the award from Mr. Mitchell since Judith grew up playing soccer with his daughter Lindsay. Thanks to all who came out and supported the event and congratulations to the other winners!
